Our Skills Providers

Pro Ambitions is AHA’s on-ice hockey skills provider. Pro Ambitions runs monthly skills practices for every AHA team and assists with both player and coach development. Led by Jeff Serowik, who played at Providence College and then professionally for 10 years, including time in the NHL with the Toronto Maple Leafs, Boston Bruins and Pittsburgh Penguins, Pro Ambitions is the official hockey camp of the Boston Bruins and Hockey East and is the largest hockey camp in North America.


Xcelerated Performance is AHA’s dryland training partner and provides every AHA team above Mites with two dryland training sessions per month. Xcelerated Performance is led by Pat Gigante (KSI Coach, SSC, CPT). Pat has over 15-years of experience preparing athletes for elite competition in all sports at the collegiate and youth levels. With experience working with multiple professional athletes and top collegiate lacrosse, hockey, football, soccer, and baseball players, Pat has honed his ability to develop the entire athlete.  Pat spent many years as the Strength & Conditioning Coach at Tufts University.


Through AHA’s partnership with Micro Ice Training Centers of America in North Andover, AHA members have the ability to register for the exclusive 12-week AHA supplemental skills program led by Micro Ice instructors. Micro Ice Program Director Dave Breen is currently assistant coach at NCAA Division 1 Bentley University where he oversees Player Development and Analytics.  Prior to Bentley, Dave was an assistant coach at Curry College and Trinity College. Prior to Micro Ice, Dave worked for over 14 years at Dynamic Skating. Dave currently holds a USA Hockey Level 3 certification.


Erika Hammar is AHA’s skating and edges instructor. Erika has 22 years of coaching experience and is well known to many in the AHA community. She is a USFS and PSA member and Category A Level instructor and holds a BS in Nutrition and Food Science from Simmons College. Erika will work with our players on edge agility, control balance and stability.


AHA’s goaltenders receive supplemental training and instruction at Mike Buckley’s GDS in North Andover. Mike Buckley is the goaltending coach for the Pittsburgh Penguins, where he has helped develop 4 Stanley Cup winning goaltenders in the past 8 years. Before joining the Penguins, Mike was the goaltending coach at UMass Amherst and UNH. Mike has over a dozen professional clients, instructs over 30 college goaltenders and has helped produce several NHL draft picks and many NCAA Division I scholarship goaltenders.
