Reminder - Winter Classic Tomorrow

Just a reminder we have our outdoor "winter classic" intrasquad game tomorrow evening at the Kirrane Rink in Brookline.

The session actually starts at 9:15pm but please plan to be ready to go by 9 so we can take some pictures.

There are still a few people who haven't RSVP'ed yet, so please let me know if you have not already done so.

Please bring a light and dark jersey and we will make teams.

One spectator per player allowed. Masks and all other protocols enforced. Dress warm - the forecast looks chilly but perfect for outdoor ice!

Winter Classic Reminder!

Hello families,

Just a reminder to please RSVP to me by this weekend to let me know if your player will be participating in the "winter classic" game next Wednesday night at the Kirrane outdoor rink in Brookline.

I understand that AHS JV-B just had a game scheduled for earlier that evening. Those players are more than welcome to attend as well but it is of course understandable if they can't make it.

The weather pattern looks perfect for outdoor hockey over the coming week. Hope to see you there! Any questions please let me know.

Bantam 1 Winter Classic!

Hello Bantam 1 families:

One of the unfortunate aspects of following this year's COVID protocols is that we have had limited opportunities for the players to interact in a more casual setting.

The coaches has been trying to think of ways for the kids to have some fun safely.

To that end we have been able to rent a sheet of ice at the Kirrane outdoor rink at Larz Anderson Park in Brookline and so are planning a "winter classic" intrasquad scrimmage for the boys!

Time: 9:00pm

Location: Kirrane Ice Rink, 23 Newton Street, Brookline

The Kirrane Rink is a great facility tucked inside beautiful Larz Anderson Park in Brookline. Brookline youth, high school and Dexter teams use the facility during the winter. The ice slots are very difficult to come by but we were able to get a reservation during school vacation week (so hopefully the late start is not problematic) and on a date when we didn't have any conflicts with league games.

The cost of the sheet is $300, which I would propose gets split evenly among all participating skaters (goalies free). If all 18 skaters on the roster participate that would be $16.67 per player.

Please RSVP to me at tbennett1125@gmail.com so we can keep track of who is participating and then I will let you know the final cost. If you have any questions please let me know. In the event of a "rain out" we would get a refund or credit towards a makeup session (the rink is planned to stay open until mid-March).

FYI the rink will permit one spectator per player to attend so hopefully someone will be able to get some good photos of the boys in action. The long term forecast for that evening calls for light flurries and 22 degrees so hopefully the conditions are ideal!

Bantam 1 - This week's schedule

Hi families - great efforts this weekend! Timely scoring, solid defense and back to back shut outs by our goalie. Hopefully we can keep the momentum going for as long as we can (and for as long as the state lets us play!)

We have practice Mon/Wed/Fri this week. For planning purposes can you please let me know if your player will NOT be attending on Wednesday evening (7:40pm)?

Bantam 1 - 1st Off Ice Training Tonight

First Dryland session tonight at 5:20pm at Xcelerated Performance (33 Upton Drive in Wilmington).

Please arrive by 5:10pm so we can take attendance. They should be dressed in t-shirts/shorts/sneakers and wear a mask.

Please bring water bottle and stick (and gloves if they want) as there is a shooting station.
