2019 Heseltine Tourney Wrap-Up

Congratulations to our A Division Champion, Haverhill/Pentucket, our AA Division Champion, Masconomet, and in a thrilling 14 round shootout victory, our AAA Division Champion, Tewksbury.

Andover Hockey Association appreciates all of the creative and generous raffle items--the funds raised from the tournament will be split between the Scott Heseltine Scholarship at Austin Preparatory School and AHA's initiatives to make hockey more accessible for kids from all financial backgrounds.

We cannot thank our volunteers enough for all of their help making this past weekend run as smoothly as it did. You all helped to carry on the memory of Scott Heseltine and his love for hockey in the best way possible.

Thank you for ALL the donations, snacks, pizzas, raffle ticket sales, locker room traffic directing, board taking down and putting up, child watching, score keeping, coffee runs and everything else in between.

Thank you to Matt Gray and the Phillips Academy Ice Rinks team for all of your help at the rink!

Huge shout out to David Tremblay for creating a schedule and spreadsheet that required NO MATH and made it seamless to seed teams.

Special shout out to Gia Cyrier for organizing a truly incredible silent auction/raffle/sponsorship this year.

Another special shout out to Stephanie Howard who helped to organize volunteers and always showed up just when we needed her (and didn’t even have anyone playing this year!).

Finally it goes without saying but thank you to Sara and Mike Stevens who started planning this tourney as soon as the buzzer sounded last year. It is an at times overwhelming undertaking but they kept it running like a well oiled machine.

We hope to see everyone back next year and good luck with the rest of the season!
