AHA Mite House League Registration NOW OPEN!

AHA Mite House League Registration NOW OPEN!

Andover Hockey Association is very excited to announce that registration for the extremely fun and memorable Mite House League (the "MHL") is now available. Thank you for your interest in the world famous MHL - one of the largest mite level development leagues in New England!

Boys and girls who are birth years 2016-2014 and have completed AHA's Learn to Play (or a comparable program) are eligible. Children from Andover and all surrounding towns are welcome to join the action!

When your child signs her or his MHL contract, they receive a professional jersey with their name on the back. The season begins in September, with parity teams being formed during the first month of practices and then games starting in October and running through March.  Children in the MHL have two hours of practice per week. MHL heroes then display their skills on the exhilarating MHL "Game Day" which occurs on Sunday mornings.

Throughout the season, MHL Athletes can also participate in holiday tournaments and games against other town development teams, as well as supplemental skills and athletic training. Plus, MHL families are always planning fun and creative team bonding experiences, such as Santa Skates, Mommy/Daddy games, and Five Minutes of Fame skates at local D1 hockey games.

The season culminates with the celebrated MHL Weekend of Champions Playoffs in late March.

Games are played using the USA Hockey Athletic Development Model half ice format, with volunteer referees. There are no assigned positions and everyone "passes the pads" for a chance to play goalie.

All games and practices are held at the world class Phillips Academy Ice Rinks complex on Main Street in Andover, conveniently located minutes from Routes 93 and 495 and steps from plenty of dining and shopping options in downtown Andover.

Please note that players who already registered for mite placements but were not selected for a travel team do NOT need to register again at this time and will automatically be enrolled in the MHL.

Tuition for the program is $1500 per player.  A deposit is required at the time of registration; the balance will be due once players are assigned to teams.

Please spread the word to friends, family, neighbors, and classmates who are not currently AHA members and who may be interested in participating.  Due to the popularity of the MHL program, space is limited. If you have a budding hockey player in your family please register today!
