
AHA Peewee 1s are Black Cat Classic Hockey Tournament Champs!

In a 10 team Peewee tournament, AHA's Peewee 1s cruised through round robin play defeating Tier II club teams from Vermont, Western Massachusetts, and Greater Boston. The players amassed 14 goals in 3 games, while only allowing 4 goals in total, earning the #2 seed in the semi-finals with a record of 3-0 and a total of 14 / 15 points.
The semi-finals game was against the Lions of Nassau, NY. After 2 periods of battling, the Lions pulled ahead 3-1. Down 2 goals, with 2 minutes to play, the Warriors came roaring back to tie the game with 1 minute left. Thirty seconds later, they took the lead for good and earned a spot in the finals. The championship game was against Top Gun from Salem, NH. Another back and forth game here. Top gun struck first, but Andover answered. After the teams traded goals, the game went into overtime. With time winding down in the first OT, and the warriors on the power play, Tournament MVP, Liam Magner, punched in the winning goal to give the boys the victory.
An overall team effort with every player contributing to the victory.
