Important Update regarding Massachusetts Hockey

The Massachusetts Department of Public Health announced that starting at 5PM on October 23, 2020, ice rinks are not permitted to open for amateur ice hockey until November 7, 2020.  Our understanding is that this is intended as an opportunity for a reset, as some in the Massachusetts hockey community have not been following public health guidance, resulting in a number of hockey-related COVID-19 clusters.  AHA has strong safety protocols in place and our membership has been diligent in adhering to those guidelines.

All AHA on-ice practices and games are canceled until November 7th.  AHA will continue to hold dryland training at Xcelerated Performance and we are looking into expanding our off-ice offerings in order to maintain fitness and team chemistry during this time.

We remain confident in our ability to safely continue with our season when we are permitted to do so. In the interim, we will continue to evaluate our protocols and remain in close communication with our partners at Phillips Academy Ice Rinks.

As always, we hope you and your families remain safe and healthy. Please continue to take care of each other and don't forget to check-in on your teammates, even if you can't see them at the rink. We look forward to resuming our season soon.
