Winter Learn-to-Skate Registration Now Open!

The second session of AHA's Learn-to-Skate program will begin January 7th, and we welcome parents of children ages 4+ to register your children for this fantastic opportunity to be active and learn a new skill.

The program is designed to have children learn to skate through fun on-ice games with other children of similar abilities.  Whether it's playing freeze tag, sharks & minnows, sword fights with pool noodles, or fun obstacle courses, the goal is for your child to not even realize they're learning to skate because they're having so much fun out on the ice.

While AHA's Learn-To-Skate is the first step for families interested in learning to play hockey, we welcome any child that is interested in learning the unique skill of ice-skating. Children who develop an interest in hockey graduate from Learn-to-Skate into AHA's Learn-to-Play program.  (If your child has previous skating experience and is interested in starting to learn the game of hockey, you can learn about Learn-to-Play here.)

The Andover Hockey Association is one of the largest town hockey programs in the country. We have a large and tight-knit family community, and we have been teaching kids to skate and play hockey for five decades.  Our lead instructors have all been certified by the USA Hockey Coaching Certification program, and as an all-volunteer program we welcome any interested parent to join your child on the ice and help the kids develop a love for ice-skating.
