We had Lindsey Reeves take photos at some of the games this weekend (U14 at 12:40pm, U10 at 3pm and U12 at 4:30pm on Saturday). The photos in the gallery are listed in order of game.

u10 Blue end of season update!

The Andover High School girls hockey team has their final playoff home game Wednesday 7:10pm at Breakaway vs Sandwich, should be a barn burner. If anyone is interested, we'll be going straight from our 6pm XP training to the rink to watch the game. Happy to bring a few kids along if anyone needs a lift.

Our last regular season game is Saturday 12:50 at the Wellesley Sports Center, wait til you see this place. Rumor has it we will be having a team gathering close to home after the game for anyone who can make it. A few of our terrific team moms will be reaching out with specifics soon.

State Tournament starts at Phillips on Friday March 24th. I'll be sending out a separate email with all the specifics but here are our scheduled game times:

Friday March 24th 4:10pm vs Winchester

Saturday March 25th 8am vs Natick

Saturday March 25th 3pm vs Reading

Sunday March 26th semifinals either 8:20am or 9:30am

Sunday March 26th u10 finals at 3pm

I know Friday the 4:10 game Friday will be a challenge and early dismissal will be needed for most of our players. Not ideal, but let's figure out how we can help whomever needs it over the next few weeks. If we win a game or two, we also may be skating on Sunday. We are hosting teams from Natick, Winchester, Reading, Parkway, Milton, Hingham, and Worcester. Should be a fun weekend.

Lastly, registration for next season is open. Jump onto AndoverHockey.org and follow the link on the first page to register. We have solid numbers for u10 and u12 next season and will again have two u10 teams. An evaluation will be held at the end of March to help determine teams. Please let me know if you are planning on skating with AHA again next season.

Thank you for a great season of hockey. This is a terrific group of people.

Save the date...

Hope everyone had an awesome Thanksgiving and weekend off. Please keep an eye on the schedule as the Phillips boys and girls hockey season begins this week and our practices will be all over the map. We will be seeing regular on and off ice sessions at Elev802 moving forward. We also have a Sunday 5pm game in West Roxbury this weekend, yikes.

Both the u10 Blue and Gold teams have games on Sunday December 11th around 11:30am close to home. Let's have a two team luncheon. Details to follow but save the date for a gathering immediately following our 11:30 game in Reading. If anyone has any good ideas, let me know. Thanks.

Merrimack vs BU Women's Hockey Game!!

Hi Parents,

Attached is the flyer for the women's Merrimack vs BU hockey game on Friday October 28th at 6pm. Follow the link and use the ticket code for discounted $3 tickets for the kids. Your whole family is invited.

For seating, you'll be prompted to choose a section when buying tickets. Pick any section as there will be plenty of seats to pick from once you enter the rink.

There will be costume contests and post game autographs to meet the players.

Kids are encouraged to wear their AHA jerseys and whatever costume / face paint you see fit. The adult refreshment stand will also be open for the parents.

We hope you are able to attend as we are trying to build a relationship between AHA and the Merrimack women's program. Merrimack players will begin attending our girls practices next week. Thanks.

Save the date!!

AHA is fortunate to have a few players from the Merrimack women's hockey team help our girls program by running a few on ice practices this season, fun!! Your team's schedule has been updated with the dates the Merrimack girls will be on the ice with your team. We'll figure out additional dates once the post Thanksgiving practice schedules are assigned.

In return, we are asking our AHA families to help support the Merrimack women's team by attending a few games throughout their season. Friday October 28th at 6pm Merrimack is hosting BU at Lawler arena. We are asking families to attend if your schedule allows. The tickets will be cheap, the rink is around the corner, and the hockey will likely exceed your expectations.

Specifics will follow regarding tickets and the game will have a Halloween theme. We ask any AHA players in attendance to wear your AHA game jerseys and any Halloween costumes or face paint you see fit.

This will be a fun addition to our girls program this season and hope you are able to participate. Thank you.

u10 Blue!!

What a game against Newburyport this past weekend. The girls played awesome and there were a ton of laughs on the bench. The schedule has been updated with 2 more games in October, including one at Holy Cross' renovated rink, so take a look.

Saturday we will be in Watertown for a 3pm start at Ryan Arena against what is usually a very good Natick Comets program. If anyone needs a ride or wants to carpool, please put the word out.

Lastly, we will be having our first team get together following our Saturday October 1st game against Charlestown at Otto. Game is at 11:30am and we can head to Otto directly after. Hopefully you are able to make it. Bring the family and let's get the ball rolling on the season. Rumor has it the pizza is delicious and the refreshments are ice cold.

Let's go u10 Blue!!

u10 Blue!!!

Season opener is Saturday bright and early at 7am in Stoneham. Bring your Nancy Kerrigan memorabilia and let's go u10 Blue!!

We will be looking to schedule a team gathering in the next few weeks so keep an eye peeled for the specifics. My lovely wife Danielle, Ann Swan, and I'm sure a few other moms will be dreaming up a few additional events for the girls as the season chugs along. Feel free to reach out with any suggestions.

See everyone Saturday at 7am in Stoneham.
